Realistically speaking, it is borderline impossible to do all that in one day (regardless of order). Visiting Rockefeller/Radio City, 34th st, China Town, Battery Park, and climbing atop the WTC. All within daylight on a winter’s day. (And on the same day you flew in 🙃)

My father in law said. Home alone really brought back those old Christmas classic songs. Branch them to light. Christmas songs and movies where never the same after this! Perfect song for this scene. Never go a chance to see the towers but I'll try to ground zero one day. They where so beautiful. RIP to 9/11 victims. Live everyday like it's your last. Merry Christmas.

How did this go from one of the most heartwarming scenes in Christmas movies, but after 2001 it became one of the most heartbreaking scenes

The saxophone is the best part of the song

I'm not the biggest christmas enthusiast and hate christmas songs, but this one is epic and the only one I like - i would like to get into the plane immediately and fly to new york. Maybe it's the 80's / early 90's style in the streets of NY you can see on clothes and cars, or top view of the beautiful twin towers - it makes me cry every time I see this clip in movie... so nostalgic and wonderfully analogue. I wish so much that times would come back

I get sad now every time I see this part even though it's a beautiful shot.

I took a connecting flight out of JFK when I was 14 and it was a beautiful clear day. We were on one of the smaller regional planes and the pilot was nice enough to make a wide bank around the edge of the city which gave me a great view of the towers glimmering in the sun. Unfortunately a little over a month later I was in science class watching them collapse. It was hard to believe what we were watching on tv. RIP to all the Americans and our friends from abroad that died that day. I couldn’t help but think of this scene when I visited ground zero a few years back on vacation. As much as I would like to see the towers rebuilt I don’t think it should be on the same site. The memorial and exhibit should remain as a reminder. Regardless I still think this is a great scene. It doesn’t sadden me to watch it as I view it as a snapshot of time when the WTC was standing in all of its glory. I’m happy we immortalized them in this classic Christmas movie along my favorite holiday song(this version is slight abridged though). Darlene’s voice and that saxophone solo are awesome!

Seeing the Twin Towers in this video is both great but also sad. People who grew up after the tragic events of 9/11 will never feel the same vibe we get from it here. I wanted to visit them as a kid after watching this movie but we just could not travel due to being busy. Even after 21 years, I will never forget hearing on the news about the tragic events that had unfolded. RIP to all the lives that were lost.

When I see the twin towers it make me want to cry 😭 cuz we lost them on 9/11

You know the best thing this movie is that Macaulay Culkin is actually from New York City. 😀👏👍🙏💙

Caryl, here. Bob and I used to go to NYC on vacation but never got to the WTC....it was on the list, but you know how it is. On one of our last trips, we were standing in front of the WTC practically on the sidewalk, and Bob asked me if I wanted to go up. I was tired and irritable and my back hurt and I said, "Next time, I promise.....It'll be there." Yeah, right.
